Welcome to Mike It Work!
After 17 years of serving our fountain pen community, I've made the difficult decision to close Mike It Work. For some time now, I've been wanting to step back from the business and administrative side of this business to spend more time with my wife and family. However, I won't be retiring entirely from doing nib work! From now on, I'll be joining my friends at PacificPenWorks.com to do nib tuning and customization work on new pens and nibs purchased there. I'll also be available on an occasional basis to do nib work on your existing pens, though on a much smaller scale than before - you can sign up for the PacificPenWorks.com newsletter to be notified as to when I'll be taking on that kind of work. I want to express my deepest gratitude to all my loyal customers for their support throughout the years. Whether we've met at pen shows or just communicated via phone and email, it's always been such a pleasure. I am proud to offer my nib repair and adjustment services to all fountain pen lovers. I have 23 years of experience with Sailor. I have been blessed with the opportunity to work extensively with "the god of fountain pens" Mr. Nagahara and his son. I learned from them the various subtle causes for a pen to lose its true smooth writing. As for the nib adjustment techniques, I learned directly from one of the most respected Japanese "pen-doctors," Mr. Kawaguchi. In recent years, I have worked as a distributor for companies such as Ancora, Conway Stewart, Sailor, and Stipula. I have extensive experience making repairs and adjustments for any brand fountain pens both modern and vintage, especially those by the aforementioned companies and also those by Conklin, Delta, Ferrari da Varese, Platinum, and Visconti. I hope that my experiences and skills with fountain pens will be able to benefit you.
